Why We Started Lake Restore

Founder's Note:

Hi, I’m Chad Woolson, founder of Lake Restore.
Like many Midwesterners, I grew up on the water — fishing, swimming, and spending long summer days at the lake. Over time, I began to notice the change: what was once clear and vibrant became murky, green, and unhealthy. Families stopped swimming, docks sat empty, and the spirit of lake life began to fade.

As I met with homeowners and lake associations, it became clear the same short-term fixes were being used over and over — chemical treatments, mechanical aeration, muck removal, and weed harvesting. They offered temporary relief but never addressed the root cause: an imbalance in the lake’s natural oxygen and microbial systems.

That realization changed everything. When I discovered nanobubble technology, I saw a way to work with nature instead of against it. These microscopic oxygen bubbles reach deep into the sediment where most water-quality issues begin, restoring balance from the bottom up.

In partnership with Moleaer, we developed the Lake Restore Method™ — combining nanobubble oxygenation with beneficial bacteria and targeted algae control to deliver long-term, chemical-free lake restoration.

Today, we’re proud to watch lakes across the Midwest come back to life. Families are back in the water, fish populations are thriving, and communities are rediscovering the joy of healthy, living lakes.

Lake Restore isn’t just a company — it’s a mission to help people reclaim the water they love through science, sustainability, and respect for nature’s balance.

Mission Statement

At Lake Restore, we help communities reclaim their lakes—safely and sustainably.

Using our proprietary Lake Restore Method™, we restore water quality from the bottom up with advanced nanobubble oxygenation, targeted algae control, and natural bacteria—eliminating muck, algae, and odor without harmful chemicals. Backed by our exclusive Midwest partnership with Moleaer, we’re on a mission to bring back clear water, healthy ecosystems, and the lake life you love.
